“We use Lexicon as our channel manager for both Expedia and Booking.com. Their customer service is stellar! I have worked with many Channel Managers over the years and Lexicon is by far the BEST and easiest to work with!”
Cherie Scott, Project Manager at Big Bear Cool Cabins
Big Bear Cool Cabins was ready to level up by adding the OTA channels to their distribution mix. Being new to these platforms, they partnered with Lexicon to distribute their 350+ properties on Expedia.
After going through Lexicon’s detailed Lift! onboarding program, Big Bear Cool Cabins had quality and high-performing listings on Expedia. Once the listings were live, Lexicon’s Revenue Strategy team worked with the client to create a market pricing strategy plan resulting in over $425,000 in bookings in just 18 months (2019-20) on Expedia only. After seeing these exciting results, the client added Booking.com to their Lexicon portfolio.
Then Big Bear Cool Cabins switched PMS platforms. The cost savings promised by using the direct connection their PMS touted was too good to pass up. As a cost-conscious business, they decided to make the switch, reluctantly terminating their contract with Lexicon.
As soon as the switch was made, it was apparent they had made a mistake. Their listings weren’t on the Booking.com homepage as promised, and every aspect of the listing became manual, including adding rates individually, and figuring out what property each rate was for.
In just 12 hours, Big Bear Cool Cabins realized their costly mistake and contacted Lexicon, who was able to get them up and live again on the same day.
In the 18 months since partnering with Lexicon (2019-20), the client has produced over $665,000 in gross bookings.
