Padre Getaways wanted greater control over listings and needed to reduce the time from booking to cash-in-hand.

Padre Getaways had been using a channel manager that was Merchant of Record (MOR). Because they were MOR, the channel manager controlled pricing decisions and listed Padre’s inventory at higher rates to increase their own profitability resulting in a decrease in total bookings. Additionally, payments to Padre were always months behind making the property manager liable for payments to the homeowners months before receiving payment from the channel manager.

Solution & Results

As soon as Padre partnered with Lexicon, they became their own MOR. Now that they had full control of their inventory, listings, rates, and cash, they worked closely with the Lexicon team to gain control over their listing content. The first task was to cluster Padre’s listings, giving them a ranking boost on the OTAs. They also partnered with Lexicon’s Revenue Strategy team to implement a long-term growth strategy that immediately started showing tremendous results.
